MEI BiSphera trace formats "incoherent radii" error
If an error similar to “incoherent radii” is encountered when retrieving jobs on an MEI Bisphera edger, the cause is the presence of multiple TRCFMT records in the job request. This can be confirmed by looking at the VCA log of a job request from that device:
While multiple TRCFMT records are allowed, even expected, in the initialization session, they should not be included in a job request. Rx-Universe will process such entries as tags, meaning it will use the last TRCFMT entry as the format for the trace. We can see this in the response to the above request:
The MEI throws an “incoherent radii” error because the format is not what was expected based on the initialization session.
The fix is to modify a file called DownloadOma.cfg, which is usually found in the Technocam folder on the edger.
BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF THE DOWNLOADOMA.CFG file before making any changes!
1) using Windows Exporer on the edger, browse to the Tecnocam folder
2) find the DownloadOma.cfg file and make a copy of it
3) open the DownloadOma.cfg file with an editor, and remove all lines except the first; this should leave a single TRCFMT=1;800;E;F;B line (or similar)
4) save the file
5) Restart the software
