Signet Armorlite

Signet Armorlite requires that a product card be printed for certain lens designs.  Signet Armorlite provides a program to accomplish this printing, but requires input from the LMS in the form of a VCA compliant text file.  Within Rx-Universe, this can be accomplished using either an automated or a manual procedure.

To setup for the product card printing you will need to enter the Digital Types Maintenance screen and enter the required file and folder locations for the Signet Armorlite ticket printing.

The "Full path of Signet Armorlite ticket LDI" contains the name of the file that contains the VCA labels that are required for the SIgnet Armorlite ticket card printer program.  You can view/edit or create this file by pressing the appropriate button.

The "Location of Signet Armorlite ticket output files" contains the folder name where the Signet Armorlite ticket card printer will look for the VCA text files to produce the printed cards.  It must be accessible by both Rx-Universe and Signet Armorlite.

Lens Style setup

The other requirement for the creation of the ticket output file is that the digital lens style be a Signet Armorlite design and that it contains an optional VCA label table entry in the "Optional Fields" tab of the Lens Style maintenance where a VCA label is "_PRODDESC" and the value is the text of the lens description.

Automated Process

The automated process for creating the VCA output file is accomplished via the Job Tracker.  A flag will need to be set in the "Job Station" maintenance for the completion station.  Activate the check box "Create Signet Armorlite digital ticket file", and when the Job Track processes a Signet Armorlite job for this completion station, it will be checked to see if it has the required "_PRODDESC" label in the lens style database, if it does, then a file will be created in the Signet Armorlite ticket output files folder whose name will be the ticket number with an extension of ".rxc".

Manual Process

To manually create the Signet Armorlite VCA output file,  From the Shipping" menu, access the "Print Signet Armor. Digital Ticket" program.    To create the VCA file for a ticket, enter the ticket number and the program will create the VCA output file if the job passes all the requirements for the VCA output file creation, if not, a warning will appear on the screen.
