Introduction

This document provides instructions for enabling discount and service charge messages on the Independent Statement.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Custom Configuration Editor and press Enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press 'Q' to Query.
  • Ensure that the table below exists.

If the table does not exist:

  • Press 'A' - Add a new record.
  • Enter all the information, as shown in the diagram below.
  • Press Escape, to save the data.
  • Press 'E' to exit.

If 'STMT SRV CHRG MSG' is enabled, the Character Setting prints on the statement in the service charge message area. 'This is my service charge message. (1.5% PER MONTH is an example)' prints on the statement if the below is enabled and the account service charge is 1.5%. Otherwise, 'A SERVICE CHARGE IS APPLIED ON ALL AMOUNTS OVER 30 DAYS (1.5% PER MONTH)' prints on the statement.

If 'STMT DISCOUNT MSG' is enabled, the Character Setting prints on the statement in the discount message area. 'Customized discount message.' prints on the statement if the above is enabled.  Otherwise, 'DISCOUNT APPLIES ONLY TO PAYMENTS RECEIVED BY 10th OF MONTH' prints on the statement.
