Frame Receipt and Bin Assignment After Order Entry

Introduction

This document provides instructions for receiving a frame and assigning a frame bin on a Frame to Come job after processing the RX through Order Entry.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 7 - Tray Track and press Enter.

Select Option 17 - Frame to Come Lookup and press Enter.

The Frame to Come Lookup screen displays

  • Press “S” to view on screen and then press Enter.

  • Enter the account number. Press Enter or type the first few letters of the account name to view the Account Lookup window if you do not know the account number.

  • Press Escape and enter the account number in the Enter Account Number field.

Use account number 0 (zero) to view all Frame to Come jobs.

  • Press Enter past the patient name field or enter the patient name.
    • You can also press “I” to toggle to search by invoice.
    • Or, enter “SP” to search by SP number.
    • Or, you can use the (=) wildcard feature.
    • Or, press “E” to use expanded search to open up additional search fields.

  • Scroll to the relevant job using the up and down arrows on the keyboard.

The < > arrows indicate the selected job. If a bin number is not displayed, the job was Entered through Order Entry and marked with the Frame to Come lite-up. Notice the tray location at the bottom of the screen.

  • Press the space bar to receive the frame and assign a bin.
    • Press the space bar to receive a frame to a tray with an auto-assigned bin.
    • An * asterisk will display on each side of the selected row or rows.

You can check in multiple frames by using the space bar on each row that you need to receive a frame. For example, notice in the following diagram 3 frames checked in.

  • Press Escape.

You get prompted to continue with bin assignments.

  • Press “Y” and Enter to continue.
  • Press “N: and Enter to stop assigning bins.

  • Press escape twice to return to the Job Track main menu.

Help Menu

  • Press the question mark (?) on your keyboard for Help to view all commands

  • Press “F” to add a Frame to Follow job
  • Press “R” to reprint a ticket
  • Press “X” to Deallocate the bin without marrying
  • Press “K” to Re-bin a frame
  • ----- (Dashes) in the account number field means that the job has not yet been through Order Entry
  • X after a bin number indicates that the job has been married or deallocated
  • F after a bin number indicates that the frame has already arrived
  • MARRY – means the frame arrived after the tray was in FRAME MARRY
