Price Codes in the Remake Database
OVERVIEW
This document will illustrate how to use the Pricing Code in the Remake Database. In this example, we will use Lab Redo with a discount of 100%.
Go to the Setup tab in Rx-Universe and then to Remake Codes. Create entry for Lab Remake entering the addon name you wish to use in the Price Code.
In my example, I will use LAB for Lab Redo. Next, select the predefined category; we will choose Lab Redo.
Next, we will enter the position of the addon in the Price Code Position. The End position will discount all of the original addons from the job, as well as the lenses, and the Top Position will only discount the lenses.
(Except in the case of a manual addon that has been physically entered on the top line of the Addon screen in the job. This will be also discounted since it will be above the redo code and will have to be moved below the redo code for the discount to not be applied).
Once your Remake Codes are complete, go back to the Setup tab and then to the Addon Codes to create the addons to match the Price Codes in the Remake database. So, for the Lab Remake we will create a code called LAB as seen below.
The next step is to set up the Addon Group for the Remakes so go to the Pricing tab and select Addon Groups.
Create a new Addon Group, in this case I called it LAB, and then add the LAB addon to this group.
And the final step is to create the addons in the Price List(s). Go to the Pricing tab and then Price Lists and Rx Pricing. Click on the price list you wish to add the addons to and then right-click on Addon Type and then left click on Add Addon Pricing.
Select Manual Addon in the Auto Code drop down menu and then select LAB in the Addon Group.
Change Pricing Mode to Order Discount and in the first field on the grid under Base, type in the percent that you will to discount. I will discount my Lab Redo 100% so it will look like the screen shot below. If you want to discount 50%, you will type in 50.00 instead.
Save your changes and test the Lab Redo.
Go to Customer Service and highlight the completed job that you want to remake. Click on the Remake button and you will see the following screen.
Select the drop-down button next to Category and make your choice; in this case Lab Redo. Then highlight the reason and click Save.
At this point you will enter the tray number as usual when doing a remake, do a recalc and the discount will be applied.
