Introduction

This document provides instructions for adding entries to the Manufacturer Substitution table. This table allows the lab to substitute the manufacturer code for a specific SKU or to substitute one manufacturer code for another.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 9 - Inventory and press Enter.

Select Option 4 - EOE Procedures and press Enter.

Select Option 9 - Manufacturer Substitution Editor and press Enter.

Enter the Warehouse ID. (This option displays only if your lab uses for multiple warehouses.)
Enter the original SKU code or Mfr code. (The “Original SKU Code or Mfr” field can hold either a 10 digit SKU number or a manufacturer code. The substitution routine looks for a matching SKU code first. If the SKU is not in the database, the routine then looks for a matching Mfr code.)
Enter the Mfr code to substitute.
Press Escape to save the data.
Press “E” to exit.
