This document provides instructions on how to set up the EOE Vendor table for individual manufacturers.
Procedure
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 9 - Inventory and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - EOE Procedures and press Enter.
Select Option 7 – Manufacturer Table Maintenance and press Enter.
The Manufacturer Information screen displays.
- Enter all the pertinent information in the fields provided.
The following fields in bold font are mandatory:
- Warehouse ID (This field displays only if your lab uses multiple warehouses.)
Manufacturer’s Code - Enter a valid manufacturer's code. Use letters only
- To view all manufacturer codes, use the Optifacts menu 5-3-8 Mfr Names Reports.
- Manufacturer Name - Enter the manufacturer's full name.
- Manufacturer Street - Enter the street address.
- Manufacturer City - Enter the manufacturer's city.
- Manufacturer State - Enter the manufacturer's state.
- Zip - Enter the manufacturer's zip code.
- Contact Person - Enter a contact name for EOE at the manufacturer.
- Contact Phone - Enter the voice phone number for the above contact person.
- Order Phone Number - Order phone number: ',' pauses for 2 seconds, '/' pauses for 1/8 second
- Send Via - C: Commlink protocol, X: Xmodem protocol, E: External Transfer System.
- Number of Retries - Enter the number of times to retry if the first attempt fails. This value serves as a timeout value when Send via is E. The number of retries is attached to the number of seconds to wait for the mov_lens_order script to complete. You must ensure that you set this number high enough.
Example: If the number of retires is set to 10, the program will wait 10 seconds for the order to complete sending to Opticom. That is not enough. We suggest you change this value to 99 if sending via E (FTP). If the number of retries is left blank, it will default to waiting 30 seconds.
- Customer Number - Enter your customer number for this MFR, be sure it gets entered as specified.
- Depot - You may optionally enter a shipping depot number.
- Ship Via - You may optionally enter a shipping method.
- Back Order (Y/N) - "Y" Yes to backorder, "N" No to not backorder lenses.
Rush (Y/Y) - "Y" Yes to rush the shipment, "N" No to not rush-ship.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Press "E" to exit the screen.
