3D Image of Lens
Rx-Universe allows the lab to display the 3D representation of the lens from Order Entry.
Note that this can be done only for jobs with a frame trace, or for uncuts without frame, and for either toric jobs or digital jobs that use SDF point data. Display for digital jobs with other surface point format data will be added in the future.
Within Order Entry, the button for 3D display is located below the 2D button in the Trace Information segment:
Â
When selected, the 3D image will be displayed similar to the following. The image below is divided in 2 separate panes, the top pane is a visual representation of the
Finish cut lens and the Pane below is the representation of the uncut lens.
Â
The image can be rotated in all 3 axes by clicking the left button of the mouse and then using the mouse to move the image.Â
The scroll button on the mouse can be used to make the lens images larger or smaller.
Â
If you click on View and select Markers you will get the result display below
Â
In the 3D example below you can see the Markers, Thickest Point (blue point) Thinnest Point (yellow point) and the Red arrow represent the based angle of the Prism
Â
Â
The 3D display also supports a measurement mode, where the user can see the thickness of any point of the lens:
In measurement mode, the screen shows the thickness of the point which the mouse pointer is on:
