Version 7.41.00

released 24 August 2021

Customer Service

The Customer service order grid has been enhanced by adding 2 new columns on the right side of the grid. the new columns are called:

  • Notes - this column will indicate the presence of “Customer comments” or “Order notes” if either are present on an order. The identifier shown will be “Customer”, “Order” or “Both”

  • Trace - this column will indicate the presence of a frame tracing on an order. If a trace is present, then a bitmap of a pair of eyeglasses will appear.

Devices

The VCA interface has been modified to store a received TOKEN label in the orders VCA overrides table. This allows TOKEN to be used by a digital calculator to identify changed jobs.

The DBL label in a VCA communication session will now be the DBL from the order screen in the event this value is different from the DBL stored on a trace attached to that order. This allows a DBL to be over-ridden just for an order, keeping the trace intact.

User-Defined Work Tickets

Two new labels have been added for use with user-defined work tickets:
_RXNMEYE - returns RXNM + 0 at the end for the right eye and 1 at the end for the left eye
_EYERXNM - returns 0 at the start for the right eye and 1 at the start for the left eye + RXNM

Orders

The order VCA overrides screen would truncate the label values to 20 characters when saving the screen.

When a frame from Rx-inventory is used on an order, if that frame is associated with a frame tracing in Rx-Universe but the frame tracing did not exist, the frame box measurements on the order would be cleared. This has been resolved.

When a status request is made for an order (using _ACTION=3 in a file from a third-party system), the _LABSTAT was not being returned for orders that were in process. This has been corrected.

The order note maintenance screen has been enhanced to allow a user to delete previously entered notes, as long as they were the user that created them. The delete is found by right clicking on the previous notes grid.

The purging of completed orders has been enhanced. If a completed order doesn’t meet the purge criteria, a new check has been added for purging the calculated supporting data stored in the OMTRACE database. Since this data can be recreated by resubmitting the order for calculations, the lab may not want to save these records for the same length of time as a completed order. A new parameter now controls when these OMTRACE records will be removed.

Inventory

A new field, Coating Strip Time, has been added to the lens inventory screen. This is a free-text field, and can be used to store the number of minutes required to strip coating from a lens. This field is also accessible using the lens inventory mass maintenance functions.

Reports

The “Time at station” report was previously limited to reporting on 10,000 orders at a time. While this limit remains for PDF reports, when exporting to a CSV file, up to 20,000 orders are now supported.

The “Breakage” report was previously limited to reporting on 10,000 breakages at a time. While this limit remains for PDF reports, when exporting to a CSV file, up to 20,000 breakages are now supported.

Date Wanted has been added to the WIP Report that is e-mailed out to the customers.

System Settings

A new purge parameter has been added to the “Orders1” tab. The new field is “# months to purge OMYTACE back”, this field determines the number of months keep the OMTRACE data after an order has been completed.

Stock Orders

The order note maintenance screen has been enhanced to allow a user to delete previously entered notes, as long as they were the user that created them. The delete is found by right clicking on the previous notes grid.

Remote Orders

When a VisionWeb order is received with a multi-focal in one eye and a single vision in the other, the segment height for the multifocal was not being interpreted properly, this has been corrected.

A change was made to only give error “628: No Frame entered” for orders that request a supply frame and one is not given, when the Frame Inventory module is installed.

Addon Codes

The addon codes screen has a new combo box to specify the crib group to use for that addon, if AR is required.

Digital

If a digital order is done by an outside lab, the outside lab could return special information files with a “.LMS” extension. The .LMS files would contain VCA labels that some devices require when processing the orders. Changes have been made to allow the processing of these external files. See the section on “Rx-Universe LMS Inbox” in the confluence document

If a trace existed for an order, either by order number or tray number, and the trace was removed from an order, in some circumstances the original trace could be sent in the LDS file to a digital vendor. This has been corrected.

API Endpoints

Fix an issue with the Get/Lens Style endpoint that would return an error under certain data conditions.

A new endpoint has been created for the lens manufacturers. Requesting this endpoint will return details of the lens manufacturers from the LMS. Use the “GET\manufacturer\read” endpoint.

Fixed an issue with the “Get/Wip/Date” endpoint; in some cases the start time and end time could be incorrect, and the end time was not being checked when selecting records.

Fixed an issue with Get/Orders endpoint. Requesting information for a completed order was returning “Order not found”. This has been resolved.

Work Tickets

The PCL work ticket was allowing special order lenses to show In-Stock when there was none available. This has been resolved.

Changes have been made to the XML (user defined) work tickets, to render the frame shape to scale (dependent on the printer being accurate). Many additional labels have been added to allow printing of additional information on tickets.

Frame Inventory

Connecting to the Frame Inventory module failed when running in Thin Client mode.

Misc changes

Updated Rx-Universe to recognize version 4.x of Microsoft .NET_frameworks.

Opti2.8 Translation browse and entry screens were added. Please see

The user name has been added to the Title bar beside the lab’s name.

When completing orders and using work ticket format PCI (the combined work ticket / invoice), lab will now be prompted whether to print invoices or not after finishing entering completions (as with all other work ticket formats).

RxTicket

Frame should now be in the correct position relative to the blank
Added the fitting cross
Added + in geometric center
Added a small vertical line to center of frame box
Changed the rendering mode of the shapes on the frame
