Introduction

The Account Mailing List provides an up-to-date listing of accounts and ship-to references to aid applicable employees in the laboratory.

This document provides instructions on selecting a report, defining the print criteria (how the report will print or view), and then printing or viewing the report.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 5 - Report Generators and press Enter.

Select Option 1 - Customer Database Reports and press Enter.

Select Option 5 - Account Mailing List and press Enter.

A screen displays the first of several prompts that will define how the report will either view or print.

  • Perform the appropriate action on this screen as per the instructions below:

The first six fields identified below display only if multiple companies, branches, or territory codes exist in the system. If only one company, branch, or territory exists, the first field to display on this screen will be the “First Account code to be printed” field.

First Company code to be printed - Enter the desired code.

Last Company code to be printer - Enter the desired code.

This field will display only if multiple company codes exist in your system.

First Branch code to be printed - Enter the desired code.

Last Branch code to be printer - Enter the desired code.

First Territory code to be printed - Enter the desired code.

Last Territory code to be printer - Enter the desired code.

First Account code to be printed - Enter the desired code or press * (asterisk) to print all accounts.

Last Account code to be printer - - Enter the desired code. If you selected ALL above, then you will not see this prompt.

Alphabetic/Numeric listing (A/N)? - Press “A” and Enter for alphabetical listing or “N” for numerical.

Output to screen only (Y/N)? – Enter “Y” to display the report on screen or “N” to print.

Narrow/Wide/Other size label (N/W/O) - Enter the desired option.

Number of lines per inch (2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12)? – Enter the desired option.

Number of characters per inch (5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 17)? – Enter the desired option.

Number of copies of mailing lists? – Enter the desired option.

Printing/Viewing the Report.

Once you respond to all prompts, the screen may blank out for a few seconds. 

Then, one of the following actions will occur.

  • If you select to print the report, the report will print to the designated printer.
  • If you select to view the report, the following message displays:

“Press Return to View or CTRL/A to abort viewing.”

  • Press Enter to print the report.

When completed, the following message displays:

“File had finished printing.”

  • Continue generating reports, or press Escape to exit.
