Introduction
This document provides instructions for Defining a Warehouse by setting up the Warehouse Configuration table.
Procedure
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 21 – Warehouse Configuration and press Enter.
- The Warehouse Configuration screen displays.
Warehouses considered local would either have a Warehouse System ID that matches the TRANSFER IDENTITY custom configuration or a null Warehouse System ID.
Fields include the Type, which can be “P” for Parts and Instruments, “L” for lenses, or “B” for both - a warehouse that stores both lenses and parts/instruments.
There is also a field called “Report in DRP file?”. This flag defaults to ‘Y’ for yes. When we send inventory movements to an external DRP or ELIS service, we send these transactions separately for this warehouse.
For ELIS on non-multi lens inventory sites, these files get placed in the $CWD/share/elis_files directory. However, we will place these files in directories named with the warehouse number for sites with multiple lens inventories. For example, Warehouse 1 files are in the $CWD/share/elis_files/1 directory. If this flag is “N,” we will not send inventory movement files for that warehouse.
Another field is the Warehouse Currency Code. Use this if warehouses have different currencies or currencies from the lab’s main currency. If this field is blank, we will assume the warehouse uses the same currency as the lab, and the exchange rate is 1.0. Otherwise, we will look in menus 1–5 to find the appropriate exchange rate for the transaction date.
