How To Use The Job Scanner Simulator

Now you are ready to start scanning Indirect Job Stations and trays/order numbers with a scanner or entering the codes and tray/order numbers manually from the keyboard. 

The program will automatically detect if the scan is a tray number or an order number based on the number of characters it receives.

One thing you need to remember is the way that Rx-Universe differentiates between an Indirect Job Tracking Station and a Tray number is that an Indirect Job Tracking Station needs to be scanned with a prefix of “99”. 

For example, if you have an Indirect Job Station “123” for “In QA”, you will need to enter “99123” into the Job Scanner Simulator.  And if you are scanning bar code labels you will need to include “99” in your bar code:

 

Beginning with version 7.35.00 of Rx-Universe, job track stations can be entered directly into the scanner simulator, without using a leading "99".  This allows the simulator to be used for any job tracking station, not just indirect stations.  Of course, barcodes that begin with "99" can still be scanned, as before. 


After scanning the Indirect Job Station, scan all the tray number or order number bar codes that you want to assign to this Indirect Job Station:

 


If you enter a Tray Number/ Order number that is not in process, you get this message:
