Setting Up Job Stations for Devices (Equipment)
This will allow the lab to track orders passing through any lab devices that are connected through the Device Interface; like the Surface Blocker, Surface Generator, Polisher, Edger, etc…
- From the Main Menu, go into the “Job Tracking” tab.
- Select “Job Track Stations”.
- Click on the Create Station Button
- The “Station” ID has to start with a letter and must have at least two characters; for example: “B2”, “BL2”, “BLK”. If you only enter a one letter character; for example “B”, you will get an error message.
- Enter a description of the device in the “Description” field.
- The “Station Type” must be set to “Active”.
- The “Station Source” must be set to “Equipment”:
- Once you have finished your entries, click on the save button
- Your new entry has been created:
- Now you need to tell your Device which Job Station ID (code) to use:
- From the Main Menu, select “Devices”.
- Then select “Device Interface Params”.
- Find and select your Device; in our example, we will select the “ORBIT #1”:
- Now you need to tell your Device which Job Station ID (code) to use:
- In the “Job Track ID” enter the “Station” code you have created for this device; in our example its “ORB”.
- If you do not remember the “Station” code, you can always click on the Browse button to browse the Job Track Station database and select the proper station.
