Introduction

This document provides instructions to process received Rx's that may have failed Retail Translation.

Procedure

Steps to Take

  1. Identify the failures.
  2. Find the corresponding lite-up or field.
  3. Do the translation.
  4. Process the received failed Rx.

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 11 – Retail Transfer and press Enter.

Select Option 1  – Process Received Rx’s and press Enter.

The Rx Receipt Information screen is displayed.

The screen does not show any records if there are no failed jobs to process. If the screen displays a list of failed jobs requiring some information, you need to correct the translations before they can be processed.

The file name can give you vital information as to where the order originated. For example, if the file name begins with r_SP, it represents a job sent in via VisionWeb. Check with your system administrator or support for details to understand the representations of incoming systems.

  • Highlight a job and press Enter. Use the up and down keys to highlight the desired file.

The information needed for processing displays at the bottom of the screen in the Misc. Information section. The Misc. Information box populates with job information based on why the job got stuck in the queue.

  • Enter the correct value in the Enter New Value field.

If the information entered is accepted, the job gets removed from the screen, and the work ticket prints.

Examples:

In the following example, the system is looking for a frame price. The operator would enter the price to process the job.

In the following example, it is the edge type that won’t pass translation. The operator would need to lookup the lite-up in Optifacts menu 11-14 - Report: Pricing Options Available to see the correct description for the lite-up. They would then type in the correction into the “Enter New Value” field to process the Rx.
