Mail Out (Shipping) & Clearing a Tray

Introduction

This document provides instructions for shipping a tray and clearing a tray.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 18 - Mailout/Ship Jobs and press Enter.

Shipping

The Optifacts Mail-out Station displays.

  • Enter the tray number or scan the tray bar code.

The job is mailed out.

Clear a Tray

  • Type "CLEAR" in the tray number field and press Enter.

  • Enter or scan the tray number.

The tray gets cleared, and a confirmation message displays on the screen.

Lab Hold Job Message at Mailout

A message appears at the Mailout station when trying to mail out a job on Hold status.

Once released, it can then pass through the Mailout station.

At the Mailout station, the following message will display when a job is released.

  • Press “Y” if you are positive that it is okay to release, and the tray will mail out.

Credit Hold Message at Mailout

If an account is on Credit Hold, the data entry operator will see the following message if they try to Mailout a job. Return the tray to management.
