Introduction
This document provides instructions for the Frame Trace and Frame to Come Lookup process when the frame trace is done before the job has started.
Procedure
Verify that Auto-assign Bin is Turned on
The following custom configuration must be enabled.
- Refer to the Custom Configuration section in the Frame Management Setup (Frame to Come/Frame Marry/Label Printing/Trace99 Not Surface) document for full instructions.
Job without Frame
- The job gets keyed as normal without the frame.
- Work Ticket gets set aside until the frame arrives.
- Frame box comes from the Doctor and gets sorted in the Frame Room.
- Frame Room goes into 7-17 and “checks in” the Frame.
- Refer to the Frame Bin Assignment Before Order Entry document for full instructions.
- The label gets printed and placed on the bag/box/case
- Refer to the Label Printing section in the Frame Management Setup (Frame to Come/Frame Marry/Label Printing/Trace99 Not Surface) document for full instructions.
- The frame gets sent to the Tracer
- New Work Ticket gets printed, and the job started.
- Checked-in Frames get sent to the Frame Manager.
Job with Frame
- Job is keyed as normal.
- Frame Room or Rx OE goes into Frame to Come Lookup menu 7-17 and “checks in” the Frame.
- Refer to the Frame Bin Assignment Before Order Entry document for full instructions.
- The label gets printed and placed on bag/box/case
- Refer to the Label Printing section in the Frame Management Setup (Frame to Come/Frame Marry/Label Printing/Trace99 Not Surface) document for full instructions.
- Work Ticket gets sent to the Tracer.
- Lenses are picked and sent into the surface department
- Frames get taken to Frame Manager.
Frame Manager
- Frame and Lenses “Married” after the job is done in Surface/AR using scanning protocol.
- Refer to the Frame Marry document for full instructions.
- Job moves on to the Finishing department.
