    Overview

The Rx-Universe Version 7.73.00 has introduced several new features, enhancements, and fixes. These updates collectively enhance the functionality, speed, and accuracy of Rx-Universe for users, ensuring smoother workflows and fewer issues in both order processing and system integration.

    New Features

    Rx-Universe New Features

    • API’s

      • New V2 API for listing material groups

      • New V2 API for listing lens style groups

    • Shipping

    Enhancements

    Rx-Universe Enhancements

    • When doing a feasibility check on an IOT design, the thicknesses at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees were not available in the 2D draw view. The thicknesses are now available if the digital points file returned is in an SDF point type format.

    • Package pricing will be based on the material groups and the lens style groups instead of the material and lens codes. This will simplify the creation of package prices within Rx-Inventory.

    • The XML order exports now contain the Order calculation date, it will be provided as ”OrderCalcDateTime” within the order XML

    • You will now be able to track orders by remote user name. It will be provided as “OrderRemoteUserName” within the order XML. ie VISIONWEB, EYEFINITY, etc.

      • NOTE - we need to add what version of Rx-Site

    • Added a prompt to clear the Price List fields on the Edit Customer screen when these are set to invalid values.

    • The Job Station maintenance screen has been modified to now include an “Addon” code with the station. When an order is scanned to a station with an addon code, the addon code will be added to the order as a manual addon and priced accordingly. If the pricing causes an error, the order will be made un-valid.

    • New system settings have been added to the “Shipping” screen, allowing the lab to choose not to be prompted to print invoices, and/or edit list, after completing orders:

    • A new field has been added to the Invoice tab, in System Settings, to allow the user to print the FED on the invoice instead of the ED.

    • The job tracking history tables have been increased in size to accommodate longer messages as orders move through the lab. This requires a rebuild of the job tracking history tables, so extra time may be required for this update (depending on the volume of orders and amount of history retained by the lab).

    • A new auto-code has been adding for pricing. “SV - Ship Via”. This will allow a lab include an addon charge based on the shipping method used on the order.

    Production Issues

    Rx-Universe Fixes

    • When outsourcing an order, if the outsourced lab was supplying the frame, clear the frame cost from the local order.

    • When calculating the minimum blanksize of a finished lens, in some cases the resulting value was truncated down to the next lowest integer, which could result in cutout issues if the lab had allowance for finished lenses set to 0mm.

    • Fixed an issue where usage was not correct for addon or edge only jobs with supply frame set.

    • The Production Mix Report has been changed to add the option of including Farmouts. Also, an issue where the report was not always picking up all AR orders has been fixed.

    • Modified the Order Export to no longer export VCA tags that have no value.

    • Fixed an issue that was causing E-Ticket entries to be done with no order number.

    • Modified the Quantity & Valuation Report to add two new columns; Qty on Shelf Total Cost and Qty In Process Total Cost. A new checkbox was also added to the entry screen to allow the user to “Print only items with quantities”.
