Version 6.34.04
Released 13 Feb 2014
Order Entry
The option to E-Mail Invoice was not appearing on the “Other Functions” menu in Order Entry (version 6.34.03).
Stock order entry was modified to fix a problem where a miscellaneous stock item would not display correctly if the description of the item contained a space (version 6.34.04).
Calculations
In certain cases where a patient’s Rx was minus along some meridians and plus along others (in the same eye), and a finished lens was available, OMICS might not select the finished lens for the job. This was due to incorrectly trying to match edge thickness along the plus meridians and center thickness along the minus meridians. OMICS will now only match edge thickness if any edge point is thinner than the center of the lens (version 6.34.04).
Devices
The ART/Nucleo block selection logic was correctly selecting a block for a left-eye only job, but not correctly sending the block-specific data to a device upon request, for a left-eye-only job (version 6.34.01).
For SV digital lens designs, the SEGHT variable was being set incorrectly when vertical decentration was entered as distance above or below the datum line (instead of entered as height from the bottom of the frame), for Shamir, Indo, IOT, Essilor and Zeiss digital designs only. This has been corrected (version 6.34.03).
Digital Surfacing
If GPRV? Labels are sent back from the DS calculator in the LMS file, the values will now be saved and sent to a GEN device which requests them. This is currently only used by ProFit if the lab does not have a prism blocker (version 6.34.01).
Block selection when using Essilor digital designs has been modified so that if the lab does not select the “Save new block info when received from device”, then the blocks selected by the lab will be used, and the SVAL and AVAL re-calculated appropriately. Please note that this can potentially result in cutter crash, as the Essilor digital calculator does not respect the block size selected at the lab (version 6.34.04).
Reports
The Essilor Lens Report has been changed to include three new products; “Varilux S Design Technology”, “Varilux S Design Short Technology”, and “Varilux S Fit Technology” (version 6.34.01).
The Lens Breakdown Report has been modified for digital jobs – it now reports on the design of the digital lens style rather than on the puck (or donor blank) being used (version 6.34.01).
The Essilor Lens Report has been changed to include another new product; “Varilux Comfort Enhanced Fit” (version 6.34.02).
