Automatically Populate Packing Slips

As of version 7.52. a new option to automatically build a packing slip for each ship-to customer has been added. On the Shipping tab in System Settings:

This option causes an entry in a packing slip to be made each time an order is completed in Rx-Universe.

These “open” packing slips are created without a specific date/time, and contain all orders for the designated ship-to account, for all shipping methods, as follows:

Editing of these packing slips is not allowed, to ensure consistency of data. If an order needs to be removed from the packing slip, it should be uncompleted.

To print and process the “open packing slips” go to the following menu option “Shipping / Print open packing slips”

  • Select a desired printer for the packing slips

  • Select the number of packing slip copies you want to print

  • Select the shipping method that you would like to print (only the selected shipping method will be processed unless “All ship methods” is selected)

  • Press the continue button

    • the program will go through the packing slip file searching of packing slips with a zero date and that have the desired ship method. The program will print the packing slip document(s) to the desired printer, and the current date/time will be assigned to the packing slip record. All the orders associated with the packing slip will also have their packing slip date updated (you can see this in Customer service, View order flags)
