Shippo Integration

Rx-Universe 7.48 and Rx-Xplore 0.3.0 add integration with Shippo.com to Rx-Universe. Shippo can be used to purchase shipping labels.

Note: Your license must include the Rx-Universe API and Rx-Workstations to make use of Shippo integration.

Before using Shippo, you must perform some first-time setup.

To successfully ship jobs from Rx-Universe using this integration, the ship-to address on the order must be formatted with the CITY in the Address-3 field, and the STATE code and COUNTRY in the Address-4 field:

Then you can navigate to Rx-Workstations and select Shippo. There are two workstations, switch a user permission for each one.

Ship: Confirm

First you will be prompted to scan a completed order. The Ship To info and default shipping method will be retrieved from Rx-Universe. If Shippo validates the Shipping info and you have entered default package details, rates will be computed automatically. Otherwise, you may enter this information manulaly and then use the GET QUOTES button.

All possible rates that Shippo returns will be available in the Rate dropdown (which can be filtered with the Carrier dropdown). Each rate will display the associated price and (estimated) delivery time. If the order is associated with a particular shipping method, it will be automatically selected for you.

Once a rate is selected, you may use the PURCHASE SHIPPING LABEL button to purchase the selected label. The order in Rx-Universe will be updated with the new tracking number and the label will be printed to the matching printer.

Ship: Fast

This workstation differs from Ship: Confirm in two ways.

  1. If a rate can be auto-selected (based on the order’s shipping info) it will be purchased immediately

    1. Otherwise the Ship: Confirm options will be displayed so any issue (e.g. missing shipping info) can be corrected

  2. A scan history table will be displayed with all scans performed in the current session

Scanning an Existing Order

If you scan an order that has a label already downloaded from Shippo (stored in the Shipping Label Folder set up in the Config less than Archive Age days ago) then scanning the order number again will show the already-purchased label. You may download it, print it again, or purchase a new label using the form below the label.
