Introduction
This document provides instructions for relaunching an archived job to bring it back into progress as a new job.
The setup to allow relaunch must be completed before using this feature. Refer to the ReLaunch Required Setup documentation for full details.
Procedure
Search for the Job
Perform a search for the archived job. Perform the search through Quick Lookup or Lookup Archive Retrieval, and both options have the same functionality. Refer to the Quick Lookup Overview documentation for full details.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 7 - Tray Track and press Enter.
Select Option 1 - Quick Lookup and press Enter.
Or, Select Option 15 - Lookup Archive Retrieval and press Enter.
Once you have located the job in the tray list: (Example below, tray 4021)
Enter the letter ‘R.’
You get prompted to enter the Job Relaunch Conditions. You can choose to relaunch the full pair or a single eye of the pair.
The Options are Right eye, Left eye, or Both. (R,L,B).
Press ‘R’ to relaunch only the right eye.
Press ‘L’ to relaunch only the left eye.
Press ‘B’ to relaunch both eyes.
Blank Select or use Original Lenses (B/O): We recommend to let the system run through Blank Selection, especially for digital products, to confirm that the correct product was selected.
Press ‘B’ for Blank Selection.
Press ‘O’ to use the same lenses as were used in the original job.
If you choose Blank Selection, the color used is the original color used for Blank Selection at the time the operator initially keyed the job.
Would you like to edit lite-ups (Y/N):
Press ‘Y’ if you would like to edit the lite-ups used on the original job.
An example would be ‘Supply Frame.’ You may want to change that to ‘Frame Enclosed’ or ‘Frame to Follow.’
Press ‘N’ to keep the lite-ups as they were on the original job.
If you selected ‘Y’ (above), the Lite-up Listing window is displayed.
Enter the lite-up number to turn it off.
When done, Enter 99 to finish.
Alternatively, you can press Escape to abort the action.
Re-launch Successful
Press ‘Y’ and Enter to continue.
The job is released to print like a remote job coming into the system. The system asks for a tray number at Verify, just like a remote job coming in.
If you choose Blank Selection, the color used is the original color used for Blank Selection at the time the operator initially keyed the job.
Relaunch Job Does not Print
If you do not receive a ticket and you did not receive an error during relaunch, that means the relaunch failed during the transfer process. An error report prints indicating what failed. To find and correct the job, you need to go into Process Received Rx’s.
From the Optifacts Main Menu:
Select Option 11- Retail Transfer and press Enter.
Select Option 1 - Process Received Rx’s and press Enter.
- Select the appropriate job and press Enter.
- Make the necessary corrections by typing the correct value in the field provided.
In some cases, you may want to create a new translation to ensure another relaunched job does not fail. Once you make the necessary corrections, a ticket prints, and you can assign a tray at the Verify station.
