Introduction

This document provides instructions for enabling the APPEND THK custom configurations to allow thickness control by lite-up.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.

Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press Q to Query to ensure that the table below exists.

If the table does not exist:

  • Type A to add a new record.
  • Enter all the information as shown in the diagram below.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Type E to exit.

The two records shown below need to be put into the cust_cfg table on each site sometime before the new programs start running. The exact field name must start with “APPEND THK”, followed by anything to make it unique. The character setting field will be pricing option num, and the float setting field will be the pricing option bit, and the integer setting field will be the digit to append to the material code for the special default thickness lookup. The comment field can contain any text. The examples below have a short explanation of the fields. They could easily contain the description (such as Airwear).

You can modify the configurations even further to let the reader know what lite-ups the configuration belongs to. Here are a couple of examples where the lab defined the configurations still maintaining the APPEND THK 1 AND APPEND THK 2.

Example: Looking at this example we see that the configuration is being used with the Full Metal Groove lite-up.

Example: Looking at this example we see that the configuration is being used with the Airwear lite-up.
