Introduction
This document provides instructions for setting up and using the Stop Job and Continue Job stations.
Procedure
Custom Configuration
Enable this custom configuration if your lab uses the “Stop Job” or “Future Station Messages with a Stop message” features, to not move the interface files. Disable to move the interface files, so that the interfaces cannot run a Stopped Job. If enabled, interfaces can still run a Stopped Job.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enter.
Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press enter.
Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press “Q” to Query to search if the table you are looking for exists.
If the table does not exist:
- Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the information as required.
- Press Escape to save.
- Press “E” to exit the screen.
Setup the Tracking Stations
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Options 7 – Tray Track and press enter.
Select Options 12 – Tray Track Configuration and press enter.
Select Options 2 – Sub-master Station Number Setup and press enter.
- Press "Q" to Query.
Ensure that the following two tables below exist.
If the tables do not exist:
- Press "A" to add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
Note: These can be any station number and station type but MUST be named “STOP JOB” and “CONTINUE JOB’.
Example
Station Assignment
When customer service needs to apply a “STOP” condition, they will assign the Tray Number of the job to the station number for “STOP JOB.”
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 7 – Tray Track and press enter.
Select Option 7 – Station Assignment and press enter.
The Station Assignment window displays.
- Enter the station number applicable to the “STOP JOB” station.
- Alternatively, enter the job, invoice, or tray number. (Precede Job with J, Invoice with I)
- Type the Stop Job Notes and press enter.
The tray gets updated in Tray Track. The job stops moving any further in production.
Order Entry Message Example
If an operator tries to recall a job that is "STOPPED," the following message displays and not allow the operator to recall the job.
Verify Message Example
If an operator tries to verify a “STOPPED JOB,” the following message will display.
Mailout Example
If an operator tries to mailout a “STOPPED JOB,” the following message displays.
The operator will be able to cancel a stopped job.
- To continue with the job, assign the tray to the “CONTINUE JOB” station.
