Introduction
This document provides instructions for deletingThere are no methods to completely remove a frame from
inventory.Inventory at this time due to possible usage history that should be maintained. However, it is possible to update a record in Frame Inventory and mark it as discontinued or alter the frame name/info accordingly. Please refer to the relative documentation.

If you need to change a tracing associated with a frame, first remove the trace from the library, then you can again link a tracing to the frame inventory record. Click here to view our Trace Management documentation.
Procedure
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 12 – Frame-Parts Inventory and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 5 – Frame Description Editor and press enterEnter.
The Frame Description Editor displays.
Perform the appropriate action on this screen per the instructions below:
- Type Q Press “Q” to Query.
- Type the Enter or Scan the FPC or , SKU, or UPC Code of the frame and press escape.
The specified frame will display displays on the screen.
- Press D “D” for Detail.
The active table (o_invt_rec) is indicated by the brackets [ ].
- Press R for Remove.
The data will be deleted.
- Press M Press “U” to update any data in the detail table.
- Mark the frame as Stocked, Non-stocked, or Discontinued in the Stocked field.
- Enter “Y” to indicate that this is a stocked frame.
- Enter “N” to indicate that this is not a stocked frame.
- Enter “D” to indicate that this frame is discontinued.
- Press Escape to save the changes
- Press "M" for Master.
The active table (o_frm_desc) is indicated by the brackets [ ].
- Press R for Remove.
The frame is deleted.
Press escape to exit.- Press “U” to update any data in the master table.
- Press Enter past the Trace Database Link to access the additional screens (as shown below).
- Press Escape to save the changes.
- Press “E” to exit the screen.
