Overview

IOT is a fairly straight-forward interface, with a few things to note.

...

IOT does support the use of blocked prism, so they will send back the KPRV? labels in the LMS file.  If blocking prism is not desired, be sure to set the "Blocker maximum prism" field on the "DS" record for IOT to 0, to suppress this.

Camber Designs

The Camber designs require a few things to be set differently.

...

Third, the Camber designs use VCA labels to identify whether the lens is photochromatic, or polarized, and what color the lens is. If using an older implementation of IOT, it is possible these labels might not be in the list of labels sent to the calculator from Rx-Universe.  This can be easily changed by modifying the LDI file for IOT to include PHOTO and POLAR.  Please see the section on Use of LDI (initialization files) with Digital Vendors for more information on this.

Fourth, in order for the Camber blanks to be identified as PR on the surface blocker, you should set up a VCA override on each Camber design (that uses the Camber pucks), to set LTYPE=PR so this gets sent to the blocker.  This would be done in the Lens Styles screen for each Camber design:

Lenticularization / Edge Blending

IOT has the option of allowing many designs to be "lenticularized", where the lab can specify a bowl size, in which the design is "true", and outside of the diameter, the lens is "blended" to minimize the thickness.

When an IOT digital job is shipped using this job tracking station, if the verification ticket exists in the SDF folder, it will be automatically printed to the printer designated in this record.

Printing IOT Verification Ticket on Demand

To print the IOT verification ticket on demand (ie manually, not part of an automated process), a new menu option has been added under "Shipping", called "Print IOT Digital Ticket".  When launched, a screen as follows appears:

When an IOT digital job is scanned, and the ticket is present, it will be printed to the printer defined on this workstation (see description above).

If an IOT digital job is scanned, but the verification ticket is not found in the SDF folder, an error will be displayed:

If a non-IOT job is scanned in this screen, an error will be displayed:
