Rx-Universe has the options option to be run in a Stand Alone scenario where a single PC will be used for Order Entry, Calculation, Production & Device communication. This type of installation will generally be used in Micro Labs or Finishing Labs.
For Larger larger labs installation , we recommend the Multimulti-Workstation workstation system. With this installation, you will require a centralise centralized server where multiple Workstations workstations will be connecting to the server via you your local network (TCP/IP). Please note that you will also need Multimulti-Workstation workstation if you intend on using Rx-Site remote order system.
For all installations, Rx-Universe uses Java to produce reports, documents, and some graphical displays. The Rx-Universe server, and any workstations, will require either Java or OpenJDK to be installed and configured on each computer. Additionally, a computer will require a PDF viewer in order to view PDF reports. The lab should install their choice of Java or OpenJDK and their preferred PDF viewer on each computer that will be running Rx-Universe.
