Introduction

This document provides instructions for defining the station numbers and descriptions used to track coating baskets

,

and to define the

amount

number of lenses allowed in each basket. Once the station numbers and description are defined,

then

you must also set up the actual basket range information

Procedure

Rules

When setting up the system for basket tracking, remember these rules:

  1. When setting up basket names, the names should be Optifacts standards.
  2. When defining basket ranges

    1. ALL numbers must be unique (must not be identical to tray range).
When defining basket ranges, the
    1. The numbers must be consecutive.
  1. When setting up lens count settings, you must define a low and high range.
    1. You can define up to 5 ranges.

The Master Station and Sub-Master Station numbers used in this procedure must have already been set up in the Master Station Setup area of the software

before you attempt this procedure. If

this is

not done, refer to the Master & Sub-Master Station Setup document.

Custom Configurations

From the Optifacts main menu:Type

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press

enter

Enter.

Type

Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press

enter

Enter.

Type

Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press

enter

Enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press Q “Q” to Query to ensure that the tables below exist.

If the tables do not exist:

  • Type A Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the information applicable to your lab, as shown in the examples below.

  • Press Escape to save the data.

  • Type Press "E" to exit.

Tracking Coating Baskets

Basket Tracking requires a minimum of 4 entries in the Custom Configuration Editor. These four entries work together to track groups of lenses as they progress through the coating systems together in baskets. The

four entries are:

  • BASKET ACCOUNT

  • BASKET RANGE LOW

  • BASKET RANGE HIGH

  • BASKET LENS COUNT

BASKET ACCOUNT

*** Be sure the account names you use have not been used before. Use this field to define each category of basket types, and basket ranges. Remember, when defining a range, you must define a low and a high range. The numbers between the low and high range will be consecutive numbers. are not already in use. ***

This entry is required, so the customer service staff members can have an account number that they can specify in quick lookQuick Look-up of job track to view the status of the coating baskets.

There must be The Customer Database Editor must have an account set up in the Customer Database Editor that matches this account number. The account can be for internal purposes only and can be put on credit hold, so no jobs are get run to it by mistake.

  • Enter the account number in the Character Setting field.

The examples shown below allow baskets between the numbers of 50 and 75 (both settings are inclusive).Both entries use

BASKET LENS COUNT

Once the basket types and ranges are defined, you must define a lens count field that will identify identifies the number of lenses you want to include in the coating baskets.

  • Enter this number the number of lenses you want to contain in each designated basket type in the Integer Setting field.

The basket assignment procedure will allow only up to this number of lenses in any one basket.

Station Setup

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Type Select Option 7 – Tray Track and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 12 - Tray Track Configuration and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 2 - Sub-Master Station Number setup and press enterEnter.

The Tray Track Sub-Master Station Number Setup screen displays.

  • Enter the information as shown in the diagram below.
    • Master and Sub-master numbers may vary by lab. Check with your administrator to acquire the correct numbers to use. 
    • The Station Description MUST be typed match the description as it appears below.
  • Press escape Escape to save the data.
  • Type E Press “E” to exit.

Station Assignment

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Type Select Option 7 – Tray Track and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 7 – Station Assignment and press enterEnter

The Station Assignment screen displays.

  • Enter the station number for the station you have named BASKET ASSIGNMENTASSIGNMT.
  • Enter the number of the basket that you would like to fill with lenses.

The program will then repeatedly ask for tray number numbers with lenses to coat until the basket count is reached or until you press Escape.

  • Type Enter or scan the first tray number you want to assign to this basket.

As each basket is scanned or typed, the contents of the tray are listed tray’s contents display in a list on the right side of the screen. 

  • Repeat the Step step above until you have assigned the desired trays to the basket until to reach the maximum basket lens count identified on the screen, is reached.

When the basket lens count is reached, the "Basket “Basket is fully loaded. Touch Escape to Continue" Continue” prompt displays.

  • Press Escape until you return to the Optifacts Main Menu.

  1. Go to Quick Lookup and enter the predefined account number for basket tracking

under which it was entered

Some coating centers have baskets of different sizes for different operations.  We allow up to 5 basket sizes for any lab. 

The following example could allow two sets of baskets, the first ten baskets numbered between 50 and 59 allow up to 20 lenses per basket.  The next set
