Introduction
This document provides instructions for setting up the custom configurations for Commercial Pricing.
Procedure
Allow 0 Sphere Price
This configuration is required in order to allow the Commercial Pricing tables to work in conjunction with the traditional price lists.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press "Q" to Query.
- Ensure that the applicable table below exists.
If the table does not exist.:
- Type A to add Press "A" - Add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape, to save the data.
- Type Press "E" to exit.
No Commercial Price Feasibility Warning
Enabling this will display feasibility warnings.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
Press Q to Query.
- Ensure that the table below exists.
If the table does not exist.
- Type A to add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E to exit.
Allow 0 Sphere Price
This configuration sllows the Commercial Pricing tables to work in conjunction with the traditional price lists.
The following allows 0 sphere prices for all accounts:
The following allows 0 sphere prices for a specific account. Notice the account number is the Character Setting field:
The following allows 0 sphere prices when a specific lite-up is used. Notice the lite-up num in the Float Setting and the lite-up bit in the Integer Setting:
No Commercial Price Feasibility Warning
Enabling this configuration displays feasibility warnings.
Stop 0 Lens Price Jobs
This configuration is required in order to allow allows the Commercial Pricing tables to work in conjunction with the traditional price lists.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press Q to Query.
- Ensure that the table below exists.
If the table does not exist.
- Type A to add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E to exit.
Turn off Commercial Hand Pricing
When enabled, a job with HAND PRC INV will zero zeros out all commercial hand pricing and only price prices the LENS itemization category. If this custom configuration is not enabledis not enabled, HAND PRC INV will act acts like a discount to any commercial Commercial pricing, retaining the original commercial Commercial prices for reporting.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press Q to Query.
- Ensure that the table below exists.
If the table does not exist.
- Type A to add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E to exit.
Net Override Old Pricing for New Pricing

This configuration excludes any non-discountable items from being added to the salespersons' bonus.
Override Price Order
This configuration allows the order to be set to determine how the price Percent/Max/Override applies.
- Enter the following letters into the Character Setting field in the order the price lists apply.
- P - Percent
- M - Max Fee
- O - Override
In the example below, the order is Override 1st, Percentage 2nd, and Max Fee 3rd.
