Introduction

This document provides instructions for adding a frame into frame inventory, adding the bin location, and setting the min/max levels.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 12 – Frame-Parts Inventory and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 5 – Frame Description Editor and press enterEnter.

Add Frame

  • Type A Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the applicable data about the frame, pressing enter Enter past each field.
    • FPC or SKU – Store SKU number
    • UPC Code – Frame UPC number
    • Mfr SKU - Manufacturer SKU number
    • Manufacturer – Frame Manufacturer
    • Division – Frame Division
    • Name – Frame Name
    • Color – Frame Color
    • Material – Frame Material (Z-Zyl, M-Metal, R-Rimless Drilled, G-Grooved Rimless, I-Industrial, C-Combination, F-Facet, Shape 1 to 6)
    • Temple Type - 
    • Side Shields - 
    • Dress/Industrial – Frame Type
    • Gender – IE: Male, Female, Unisex, Boys, Girls, Kids
    • A Measurement – Frame A
    • Bridge – Frame DBL or Bridge
    • Temple – Temple Length
    • B Measurement – Frame B
    • ED Measurement – Frame ED
    • Trace Database Link - Automatically assigned by the system when a when a trace is attached to a frame from inventory. (Refer to the "Frame Trace" documentation for details)

Additional Screens

The following screens have many optional fields (Used by the CFDC) but are available. Some of the fields will indicate prompts options at the bottom of the letting you know what the options are for that fieldscreen.

Example: Availability as shown in the following diagram.

  • Enter the frame price into the Price Complete field. This price will display displays on the first screen in the Branch Price field.
  • Other fields may display prompts at the bottom of the screen indicating what needs you need to be entered enter into the active field.

  • Enter through the fields and make sure to enter the Stamped Frame A and Stamped Frame DBL on the following screen. You may also add any other data to the fields that apply to your situation.

  • Once all data has been entered, press Escape to save the data.

Frame Bin Location

When Once the data is saved, and the 1st screen is displayed:

  • Press D “D” for Detail.
  • Press U for “U” to Update.

The active cursor is now at in the Bin Location field.Image Removed

  • Type Enter the bin location and press enter.
  • Type Enter the stock status and press enter. (N - Non-stock frame, Y - stocked frame, D - Discontinued)
  • Type M Press “M” to manage by manually or C “C” to use Computed Usage counts (min/max) and press enter.
  • Min Stock Count – If using computed usage enter the minimum quantity.
  • Max Stock Count – If using computed usage enter the maximum quantity.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press M “M” to return to the Frame Description table or E “E” to Exit.
