Introduction

Short Optimization calculation can be triggered via aA light-up triggers short Optimization calculation. For installations that use the feasibility screen in order entry, the calculation call
will normally useregularly uses feasibility. To trigger a call that would use short optimization, first add a
lightlite-up.
Procedure
Add Lite-up
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 4 - Lite-Up Options and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Lite-Up Options and press enterEnter.
The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.
- Enter the lite-up information, as shown in the diagram below. LiteThe lite-up number will vary varies by the lab. You will need to add a lite-up number that is not being used by your lab at this time.
Are the entries correct (Y/N)?
- Type Y “Y” if correct, and the data will be gets saved.
- Type N “N” to return to the form.
Retail Transfer
You will now Now you need to run the Pricing Options Available report to find the num and bit assigned to the newly created lite-up.
Type 11 Select Option11 - Retail Transfer and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 14 - Report: Price Options Available and press enterEnter
Find the num and bit that are associated with the new light-up.
Once you know the num and bit, you can set the configurations to allow the light-up to trigger short optimization. In our example, the num is 31, and the bit is 3.
Custom Configuration
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enterEnter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press Q “Q” to Query to ensure that the table below exists.
If the table does not exist:
- Type A Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the information, as shown in the diagram below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E to exit.
- Press “E” to exit.
