Introduction

This document provides instructions for the setup with examples of the Optifacts Startup Interface custom configurations. There are many more interfaces and custom configurations available. Please contact support for assistance.

Procedure

Custom Configurations

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press Enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press “Q” to Query.
  • Ensure that the table below exists.

If the table does not exist:

  • Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the information as required.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press “E” to exit.

Field Definitions

Calling Program - Name of the program called to use this configuration. (i.e., STARTUP, TRACK, LAYOUT, EOE, DAEMON, GEN INTRFC, GENERATOR, INVENTORY, TRALLAR, etc.)

Field Name - Is unique, but some configurations must start with a prefix such as INTERFACE or other.

Enabled (Y/N) – “Y” to enable.

Character Setting - Optifacts program and interface port information

  • Note: Port settings vary by lab. Check with your lab administrator, manager, or support for the correct port numbers.

Float Setting - Enter applicable data, such as a lite-up num or other dependents on the type of configuration.

  • Note: Settings vary by the lab and are dependent on what is being configured. Check with your lab administrator, manager, or support for the correct values.

Integer Setting - Enter applicable data, such as a lite-up bit or other dependents on the type of configuration.

Comment  - Description of the interface

  • Note: Settings vary by the lab and are dependent on what is being configured. Check with your lab administrator, manager, or support for the correct values.


  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press “E” to exit.

Edger Interfaces

The following entry allows the control of the edger file formats that the system will prepare as a new tracing comes in.

Warning

 ***WARNING: This entry overrides the edger commands that occur as part of the startup line for each individual tracer. ***

Here are the meanings of the setting flags:

  • (g) Gerber
  • (w) Weco **Note, don’t use this option along with (f)
  • (f) Five12weco
  • (c) Coburn
  • (s) Santinelli
  • (o) Optronics
  • O(m)a - OMA
  • (A)ck – ACK **Note, this works only for the original Gerber FT-5 tracer

In the Character Settings field, you may enter these letters in any combination or order (no spaces).
