Introduction

This document covers adding a frame trace to the trace/frame library. This procedure does not link the record to Frame Inventory, please see . Please refer to the Link a Trace from Frame Library to Frame Inventory document if you also need to link a trace to Frame Inventory. This procedure is especially useful for VCA (oma) format tracing that

contain

contains drill point data for rimless frames.

Procedure

Store Trace

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 2 - Frame Database Editor and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 7 - Store Trace in Library and press enterEnter.

The Store Trace Data in Trace Library screen displays.Image Removed

  • Enter the tray number that to which the trace is associated with. (This process will not remove the trace from the system.)

Identify the tracing format you would like to store. For example, Gerber and OMA are most common, and OMA allows storing of drill point data for rimless frames.

  • Select your option and press enterEnter.

  • Enter the information related to the frame. The : the frame name, Mfr, and the frame type associated with the tracing.

  • After selecting the frame type, you are get prompted to input the marked Frame A, DBL, and other information. If you want to be able to edge from this stored tracing, you should begin any comment with the word EDGE.
  • Press enter Enter and you are get notified the tracing has been was stored.

  • Press Enter, and you are returned return to the tray number field, where you can enter a new tray number to store another trace.
  • If you have no more trace files to store, press Escape to exit this menu.

No Trace Available

If there is no trace associated to with the tray, you will see the following message. Return the tray to production to get it traced.Image Removed
