Introduction

This document provides instructions for adding entries to the Manufacturer Substitution table. This allows the lab to substitute the Mfr code for a specific SKU or to substitute one Mfr code for another.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 9 - Inventory and press enter.

Type 4 - EOE Procedures and press enter.

The following screen displays: (This screen will display only if your lab is setup for multiple warehouses.)

  • Enter the applicable Warehouse ID and press enter.

  • Type 9 - Manufacturer Substitution Editor and press enter.

  • Type the Warehouse ID and press enter. (This option will display only if your lab is setup for multiple warehouses.)
  • Type the original SKU code or Mfr code and press enter. (The "Original SKU Code or Mfr" field can hold either a 10 digit SKU number or a manufacturer code. The substitution routine will look for a matching SKU code first. If a SKU is not found, the routine will then look for a matching Mfr code.)
  • Enter the Mfr code to substitute.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Type E to exit.
