Introduction

This document provides instructions for setting up setting up a feed to the promised jobs report in your internet browser.

  • The Dynamic WIP screen is a tool to help monitor daily production.
  • It shows the total number of jobs currently in process.
  • It shows total jobs shipped.
  • You choose what stations you want to view and monitor.
  • The screen automatically refreshes itself.

Procedure

Ask your administrator to make a directory /var/www/html/lab_htm. Link it to $CWD/lab_htm:

ln -s /var/www/html/lab_htm $CWD/lab_htm

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.

Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter

  • Add the following entry:

You may choose to save this screen in your favorites.

  • Put in a name such as. DYNAMIC WORK IN PROCESS SCREEN to make it easy to find again in your favorites list.

You may further want to have this tab show at the top of your browser for convenience.

  • If so, simply add it to your favorites bar.
    .

Once the procedure above has been followed and your system is rebooted to start the work in process program, you should be able to click on the new favorite you created in your browser to see the work in process screen. It should update automatically based on the time interval that you built into the custom configuration editor above.

The screen shows the Station Descriptions that you had created in the mapping process. (Refer to the Dynamic WIP (Work in ProcessProgress) Screen document for instructions on setting up stations and descriptions.)

Previous refers to the number of jobs that were in that station group prior to today.

IN Today shows how many jobs have moved into those stations since midnight.

Out Today shows the number that moved out of those stations since midnight.

WIP is the total jobs in the station group as a total of Previous + IN Today - OUT Today.

We will also show up to 4 columns of the WIP total for previous hours in the day, so you can see how WIP has changed through the last 4 hours.

The Lab Totals line shows the total number of jobs including jobs that are not mapped to specific stations above. The Lab Totals line includes the jobs displayed above, but also includes jobs that are in stations outside of the ones mapped for display on this screen.
