Introduction

This document covers removing a frame trace from both the trace library and removing the link from a Frame Inventory record.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 3 - Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 2 - Frame Database Editor and press enter.

Type 8 - Retrieve Trace from Library and press enter.

The Retrieve Trace Data from Trace Library screen displays.

  • Enter enough information to locate the frame in question. You can use * as a wildcard character to help locate the frame.
  • Answer Y when the correct frame is displayed on the screen.

More information about the frame is displayed.

  • Answer Y if the information displayed is correct for the frame.

If you answered Y above, you are now asked if you want to remove this Frame.

  • Do you want to remove this frame (Y/N or R to Remove from remotes)? [Y]
    • Answer Y. (This will NOT remove the Frame Inventory record, it will just remove the trace from being associated with the Inventory record)

If you answered Y, the screen will return to the first prompt for the frame name. The tracing record you had been working with is now removed.

If you need to remove another tracing, repeat the process.

  • Press escape to exit the screen.
