Introduction

This document provides instructions for viewing all of the various price lists that a given job could possibly refer to.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 3 - Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enter.

Type 12 - Show Price Lists by Job and press enter.

The items that will be prompted consist of the following:

Material Code: Enter the material code as would be entered in Order Entry. This must be an actual material code, *P and *G will not work here.

Account Number/~Package Number: Enter the account number to be tested or enter the package number prefixed with a tilde (~) to test a pricing package. The entry may be left as 0 to test the default price list assignments (price lists assigned to account 0).

Lens Style (w/o Seg Size): Enter the lens style to be tested minus any seg size. Suffixes such as ‘I’ and ‘U’ representing Industrial and Uncut jobs may be used. A prefix such as ‘FF’, ‘AL’ or ‘LS’ representing Full Field, Aspheric Lenticular, or Lenticular Sphere may also be used.

Full Field Type Code: If the job is a Full Field (aspheric lens style prefixed with FF) the prompt will require the entry of a Full Field Lens Type Code. Enter the type code exactly as represented in Order Entry. This field is skipped if the lens style is not prefixed with FF.

Manufacturer Code: Enter the lens manufacturer code to be tested or enter an asterisk (*) to test all manufacturers. The manufacturer code should be entered exactly as it is entered in Order Entry. If there are no price lists assigned to a specific manufacturer then the entry is best left as an asterisk to represent all manufacturers.

Color Code: Enter the color code to be tested or enter an asterisk (*) to test all colors. The color code should be entered exactly as it would be entered in Order Entry. If there are no price lists assigned to a specific color code then the entry is best left as an asterisk to represent all colors.

Commercial Brand: Enter the Commercial Brand name to be tested or enter an asterisk (*) to test all Commercial Brand names. The Commercial Brand name should be entered exactly as it would be entered in Order Entry. If there are no price lists assigned to a specific Commercial Brand name then the entry is best left as an asterisk to represent all Commercial Brands.

Diameter: Enter the lens diameter to be tested. . If there are no price lists assigned to a specific diameter then the entry is best left as an asterisk to represent all diameters. Alternatively, a range such as 70 to 75 may be entered.

The diagram below shows price lists for a 70mm flat top, industrial thickness, polycarbonate. Just below the Diameter line, two price lists are displayed.

This display lists the account number the price list is assigned to, the material code, the lens type if a Full Field, the price list type, Edged or Uncut, Finished or Semi-finished, Industrial or Dress thickness, the price list number if the list is used in the search and the short title of the list.

Optifacts could use two different price lists but only referring to price list #230. The reason two lists could be used is that list #130 is assigned to all plastic materials and polycarbonate is a plastic material. Since list #230 is a Base list, Optifacts will only utilize Override or Add-on lists with it. Price list #130 is also a Base list, therefore will not be used.
