When an order is created, the user has the ability to select a trace shape that will be used for the Rx calculations. The size of the shape can be altered within the order, but the selected shape can not be used in any finishing equipment (edging).
Up to 20 pre-defined shapes can be set for order entry. To make a trace available on the shape selection screen, it needs to have the following: The Manufacturer must be set to "SHAP" and the "Trace for calculations only" check box must be checked. the first 20 traces that meet this criteria will be used in the shapes selection screen in the order maintenance program.
The "Trace Information" box at the bottom right of the Order maintenance screen has a push button "View Shapes", pressing this button will access the Shapes view screen.
The "Select Shapes" screen allow the user to select a desired shape. Pressing the "check box" button next to the desired shape will associate the shape with the order. The user can then alter the shapes size using the "Resize A or Circum" fields contained in the "Trace Information" section of the Order maintenance program.
