Beginning with version 6.49.00, Rx-Universe allows labs to print multiple documents whenever a work ticket is printed (ie. stickers, labels for jobs, warranty cards, etc).

These additional documents can be designed with Satisloh's LOHreport program.  The LOHreport program produces a template in XML format; to use a template designed in LOHreport, place the resulting XML file into the RX-XML subfolder (under the root Rx-Universe folder).

Please note that the LOHreport program must be obtained from Satisloh - this program is not provided with Rx-Universe.

There is a new Additional Documents database, which can be found on the Setup menu.  This is a standard database with add, edit, delete and copy functionality.

This is where the lab will list all additional documents with their print criteria; description of the document, template filename, where the document will be printed (LPT), when to print, job type and number of copies.

To allow for more control of the multiple document printing, the documents can be further restricted to print (or not), by "Lens Style", "Digital Type", "Addon Code", "Customer Account", "Customer and Digital Type", "Customer and Lens Style" and/or by "Order".  When the printing rules for a document are set in more than one location for an order, the "When to Print" and "Copies" will be prioritized (in increasing order of precedence) as follows:

  • Main Document List
  • Customer Account
  • Addon Code
  • Digital Type (if applicable)
  • Lens Style
  • Customer/Digital Vendor (if applicable)
  • Customer/Lens Style
  • Order

The Lens Style database, Optional Fields tab, was changed to add a new button "Additional Document Overrides".  Once this button is pressed, a new screen will appear allowing the lab to create document overrides, where the "When to Print" and "Copies" can be changed.

The Addon Code database and Digital Type database, Overrides tab, have also been changed to add the "Additional Document Overrides" button.  The Surfacing Options (F12) screen in Order Entry has also been changed to add the new button.

The Customer Account database, Overrides tab, was changed to add a new button "Additional Document Overrides by Account" as well as two new list boxes; Customer/Digital Type and Customer/Lens Style.

The documents will print automatically whenever a work ticket is printed or during shipping dependent on the above rules.  The documents can also be printed or viewed ad-hoc from Customer Service by right-clicking on the order and selecting the appropriate document.
