It is sometimes desired to suppress an order (perhaps a test order) from being sent to certain devices, by using an addon code. This can be accomplished using the User Job Flow option #40 and a flag on the device parameter screen.

First, set up an option on the user job flow settings, found under “Setup”, “System Settings”, “Job Tracking” screen. Set up the 40th user option with a code - for example, NOM as seen here:

Create an addon code that sets this flag to required; for example:

Next, set up the device(s) that you wish orders that contain this addon to be suppressed; for example:

In an order has NOM (in this example), as an addon, when it is requested on a device with the above option set, it will not be sent to the device, but will generate a job flow violation, which will be displayed on the device (if the device if set up for messages) and also visible in the job history of the order:
