There are multiple scenarios that may occur which could dictate the need to change lenses on an order after it has been calculated, or even already manufactured. This section will walk through how to change the lenses without encountering issues.
Customer Service Screen
From the Customer Service Screen, locate the job which needs to be modified.
Once located, double-click the selections to open the Order Entry Screen.
In the screen above the job has already been calculated, and possibly even manufactured. This is indicated by the presence of the lens OPCs and their corresponding data which are outlined. If any modifications to the lenses need to happen at this point, the following steps will show how to proceed.
Using the dropdowns, select the new lens style, lens material, pretreatment, and color.
Once those fields are populated, pressing the F9 button on the keyboard, or F9/Do Calcs button in RX Universe will command the system to select optimal blanks, and tools needed to execute the job. After pressing the button, a “Performing Calculations” message will appear, and when successfully executed; the optimal lenses will be shown as indicated below. At this point, the job can be saved and moved to the next process. The image below highlights that the lenses have indeed been changed, and updated.
