Modern menu system, with fully multi-lingual screens. (shown here in Spanish)

One modern screen instead of the four character-based screens used in OMICS.  All functions (calcs, notes, pricing, etc) are available from this one screen.

3D Lens Rendering

New tools such as the ability to view the finished lens in 3D:

Custom Work Ticket

The ability to design your own work tickets, using the Satisloh LOHReport program; the desired ticket format can be selected from all those available:

Example:

Graphical Reports in PDF format

Reports are generated as text, as graphs, and/or as a CSV file, depending on the appropriateness of each option for each report.  The use of charts allows for visual reports that are intuitively useful:

User Permissions For Access

Rx-Universe allows labs to control levels of access to each menu item for each user, giving the lab a great deal of control over who can modify data:

Easier Pricing Maintenance

Rx-Universe features an easier-to-use price list grid, where prices can be specified for groups of lenses, rather than requiring each individual lens style to be individually priced

For example, a set of progressives can be grouped together and called "PR1", another set could be grouped together and called "PR2", and a third set grouped together and called "PR3" (as above).

Prices would then be entered for the 3 groups, rather than requiring entry for each individual progressive.

The same grouping can be done for materials -above, the "167" group contains the 3 different material codes for 1.66/1.67 products.

Easier, More Flexible Accounts Receivable

Rx-Universe uses a much easier model for tracking amounts owing to the lab, and eliminates the restrictions associated with "hard" month-end dates, where changes cannot be made to a statement, for example, once the month-end has been run.

If a statement is generated and later found to have errors, correcting entries can be made, and the statement re-run.  Payments can be automatically applied against the oldest invoices, or can be manually applied against specific invoice numbers.  Payment screens are scrollable grids, allowing easy viewing of previous entries and easy changes to assignments of payments to invoices:

Custom Statement Template

The statement itself is controlled by an XSL template, and uses a logo file to display the lab's logo on the statement, both of which are configurable by the lab.  The lab can also create their own statement format by creating an XSL template.
