To be released October 2014

Digital Interface

Manufacturers Novar and Rodenstock have been added as digital vendors option (version 6.39.00).

The size of the LNAM on the lens style has been increased from 15 characters to 40 characters (version 6.39.00).

Orders that were marked "ON HOLD" were being correctly processed by the digital processor when tray number was used to refer to the order, but orders identified using the order number were not.  This has been corrected (version 6.39.00).

When not using job tracking, it was possible to ship a digital job that had not had valid calculations done (the last time it was submitted to the calculator). This has been changed so that if the job is waiting for calculation results, or if the calculation resulted in an error condition, the job cannot be shipped (version 6.39.00).

When doing digital calculations for a design which selects donor blanks using base curve charts (as opposed to BRS requests), and the base curve charts are set up with different charts for different add powers, and when the job entered has different add powers in the left and right eye, the base curve selection logic could fail, and not select a base curve to use.  This has been corrected (version 6.39.00).

Handling of lenticularization / edge blending for IOT designs has been enhanced.  Any IOT design that contains "_L" in the LNAM will allow entry of the "Blend Diam / Bowl Size" on the F12 screen (previously this was implemented only for designs that contained "_LP" in the LNAM) (version 6.39.00).

If an error message LMS file did not include the JOB= line (as with Hoya digital), the filename is used to determine the job number, and the job updated accordingly (version 6.39.00).

The option "Send complete path in LDPATH" had not effect for Zeiss or Essilor jobs (because multiple files can be returned for different devices).  This has been correct (version 6.38.05).

Work Ticket

The CRIB and ELLH are now printed on the work ticket, with the graphic of the frame:

In this example,CRIB=55, ELLH=49.

Job Tracking

The ability to use Motorola LS2208 serial scanners as job tracking scanners has been added.  Each scanner is connected to a separate serial port, set up similar to the following:

Inventory

A new field has been added to the inventory browse grid to allow quick look up by OPC.

Base Curve Charts

It is now possible to import base curve charts from the Moncton web server.  This is especially useful for digital base curve charts, for example, to save the lab the effort of manually loading the vendors' charts.

From the base curve chart screen, there is a new button for web update:

Pressing it will prompt for the chart number to import.  To import chart "ZS", for example, enter "ZS"; you will be shown any materials for which the chart already exists on your system, and which exist on the OSI web server. Note that the import will NOT over-write any charts which already exist on the local system.  If you wish to replace existing charts, you will need to remove those charts from your system first.
