Introduction
This document provides instructions for setting up the required custom configuration and the Custom Lite-Ups menu. You can build pricing options categories in the Custom Menu for use within order entry. This feature prompts the operator to scale down though lite-up categories in the Order Entry Pricing Options screen.
Procedure
Setup the Custom Configuration
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 3 - Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type 6 - Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press Q to Query to search if the table you are looking for exists.
If the table does not exist:
- Type A to add a new record.
- Enter all the data as shown in the diagram below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E to exit the screen.
Setup the Custom Lite-up Menu
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 3 - Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enter.
Type 4 - Lite-up Options and press enter.
Type 3 - Custom Lite-up Menu Editor and press enter.
The Lite-up Menu Editor Displays.
- Press A to add a new record.
Lite-Up Option Fields:
Menu Level: A prompt to specify the menu level where the Option Description is to display.
- Type the menu level number and press enter.
- Type the menu level group name and press enter.
Example: Menu level number 1 would be the first description (s) / category (s) to display on screen. When selected the next level description (s) would display.

OPTION DESCRIPTION: This is Name or Category title that will display on screen.
- Type the description and press enter.
- The cursor will move to the Option Number field.
OPTION NUMBER: This number indicates the order in which you want the Description to appear in the list.
- Type the Option Number and press enter.
Example: The Option Description Name Coatings is number 3 in the Main Menu listing.

- The cursor will move to the Menu Group Name field.
MENU GROUP NAME: This will be the menu header name.
- Type the Group Name and press enter.
Example: The Group Name is Coatings.

- The Cursor will move to the Option Display Row field.
OPTION DISPLAY ROW: This will indicate in which row the Option Description will appear.
- Type the number and press enter.
OPTION DISPLAY COLUMN: This will indicate in which column the Option Description will appear.
- Type Y (yes) to disable or N (no) to enable and press enter.
LITE-UP (NUM): NOT the number viewed on the Layout screen.
- Enter first number on pricing options available report for pricing option and press enter.
LITE-UP (BIT): NOT the number viewed on the Layout screen.
- Enter second number on pricing options available report for pricing option and press enter.
- Press Escape to save the data.

Using the Custom Lite-up Menu
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type 4 - Run Layout and press enter.
- Continue the layout process until the Custom Lite-ups screen displays.
The option numbers appear on the left side of the screen
- Type the applicable option number and press enter.

- Type the applicable number and press enter.

- The next level of options will display.
- If the list shows the lite-ups to be selected:
- Use the à right arrow key to move the cursor to the Option field on the right side of the screen.
- Type the applicable lite-up number and press enter.
