Introduction

The following procedure provides instructions for automating a process where you can select to be prompted for required information at various stages of a job in process.

Defining job data collection fields is a two-step process:

  1. Setting up the data collection fields (the information for which you are prompted);
  2. Defining the triggers that generate the prompts.

Before you begin, you MUST have already completed the procedure as outlined in the Defining Job Data Definitions document.

If the required information for which you wish to be prompted is tied to a lite-up, you must:

  • Be sure the lite-up is already set up
  • Be aware of the num and bit associated with the lite-up.

You will be required to enter this information during the process. Instructions for retrieving these numbers are provided in this document.
