Introduction

This document provides instructions for placing a job on hold using a tray track station. You can still enter the job and the lenses produced, but it will stop at the mailout station. Once the stations get set up, the lab can use the Station Assignment screen to put a job on hold without recalling it in Rx Order Entry.

You must set up the lite-up, job definition, and trigger before you can use this process to place a job on hold. Refer to Hold Job Setup using a Lite-up, Job Data Definitions and Triggers document for setup instructions.

Procedure

Setup Sub-master Tracking Station

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 7 - Tray Track and press Enter.

Select Option 12 - Tray Track Configuration and press Enter.

Select Option 2 - Sub-Master Station Number Setup and press Enter.

The Sub-Master Station Number Setup screen is displayed.

  • Press “Q” to query.

Search for the sub-master station numbers or descriptions as determined by your system administrator.

  • Enter the predetermined number in the master station number field, or enter the predetermined number or description in the appropriate fields.
  • Press Escape to show the results.

If the entries do not exist:

  • Press “A” to add a record.

The Master Station must be set up before adding a Sub-Master Station. Refer to the Master & Sub-Master Station Setup document for complete details.

  • As shown in the diagram below, enter the information using the correct lite-up number for “HOLD JOB.” Lite-up numbers vary by lab. Make sure you are using the correct lite-up number.
  • Press Escape to save the data.

You may set up several hold stations. For example, you can create different sub-master stations using a different station number and description but point them all to the same ‘HOLD JOB’ lite-up.

Example:

The station number and description are different from the one created above but also point to lite-up number 124.

Once the stations are set up, the lab can use the Station Assignment screen to put a job on hold without recalling it in Rx Order Entry. Refer to the Station Assignment Process document for details.
