Introduction

This document provides instructions for adding new parts and associated inventory information to Optifacts.

Procedure

Miscellaneous Parts Editor

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Select Option 12 – Frame Parts Inventory and press

Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 10 – Miscellaneous Parts Editor and press Enter.

  • Press “A” – Add a record.
  • Enter the SKU number. (required)
  • Fill in the rest of the fields according to your criteria.
  • Option Code (required) – The Option Code must match the SKU number.
  • Prompt for Serial Number – Enter (R) Required prompt, (N) No prompt, (O) Optional prompt.
  • Press Escape to save the data.

Parts Inventory Editor

Before adding an inventory record, a part description, you must add a record through the Parts Editor.

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Select Option 12 – Frame Parts Inventory and press

Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 12 – Parts Inventory Editor and press Enter.

  • Press “Q” – Query a record.
  • Enter the SKU number. (required)
  • Press Escape to perform the search.

Once the selected record displays:

  • Press “U” to update the record.
  • Fill in the rest of the fields according to your criteria.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
