Introduction

(Optional) A light-up triggers short Optimization calculation. For installations that use the feasibility screen in order entry, the calculation call regularly uses feasibility. To trigger a call that would use short optimization, first add a lite-up.

Procedure

Add Lite-up

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 4 - Lite-Up Options and press Enter.

Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Lite-Up Options and press Enter.

The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.

  • Enter the lite-up information, as shown in the diagram below. The lite-up number varies by the lab. You need to add a lite-up number that is not being used by your lab at this time.

Are the entries correct (Y/N)?

  • Type “Y” if correct, and the data gets saved.
  • Type “N” to return to the form.

Retail Transfer

Now you need to run the Pricing Options Available report to find the num and bit assigned to the newly created lite-up.

Select Option11 - Retail Transfer and press Enter.

Select Option 14 - Report: Price Options Available and press Enter

Find the num and bit that are associated with the new light-up.

Once you know the num and bit, you can set the configurations to allow the light-up to trigger short optimization. In our example, the num is 31, and the bit is 3.

Custom Configuration

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press Enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press “Q” to Query to ensure that the table below exists.

If the table does not exist:

  • Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the information, as shown in the diagram below.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press “E” to exit.
