Introduction

This document provides instructions for adding or editing lens color exceptions or changing a true curve that may differ.

The following example is for a Younger SV Polaroid.  The True Base is 2.27, with an added exception in detail to change it to 2.25.  Be specific when entering General Lens Information, so only the specified lens(es) are given the exception.  A color code will need to be specified as well and may prompt for one.

Procedure

General Lens Information (Master)

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 3 - Lens Database Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 4 - Add/Edit Color/Add Excpts and press Enter.

The General Lens Information (Master) window displays.

  • Press “Q” to query.
  • Enter all applicable search criteria.
  • Press Escape to perform the search.

The lens data is displayed based on your search criteria.

Color Exception Override Information (Detail)

  • Press “D” for Detail.

The ln_rec2 table is indicated as active by the [brackets]. It allows you to add or edit the color exception details of the lens. In the example above, we see that an exception record already exists for the specified lens. You may create many entries for the same lens depending on how many colors you need to adjust.

  • Press “A” to add a new record or “U” to update an existing record.
  • Enter the color code, and press enter to proceed to the other fields on the screen.
  • Make any necessary adjustments.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press “M” for Master to return to the general lens information section of the screen.
  • Continue to search or use “N” for next and “P” for previous to view more records based on the specified criteria, and repeat the process as described above to adjust more colors.
  • Press “E” to exit the screen.
