Introduction

This document provides instructions for setting up the Message of the Day.

Procedure

Add a Lite-up

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 4 - Lite-up Options and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Lite-up Options and press enterEnter.

The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.

  • Valid for (G) Glass, (P) Plastic,or  ( * ) Both 
Type
  • Enter an ( * ) asterisk for both
and press enter
  • .
  • Enter the lite-up number that you are going to use
and press enter
  • .

The screen

will expand

expands, displaying the rest of the fields.

  • Enter all the data, as shown in the following diagram.

Are the Entries Correct (Y/N)?

Type Y
  • Press “Y” if correct
and press enterType N
  • .
  • Press “N” to return to the form.

Add Automatic Lite-up

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 5 - Automatic Lite-up Options and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Automatic Lite-up Options and press enterEnter.

The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.

  • Enter account
    • 0 and press enter
  • number “0” zero.
    • Type Y
  • Press “Y” to add a new
    • entry and press enter
  • record.

Enter all the data, as shown in the following diagram.

Look up the num and bit for the

newly created lite

New Lite-up

You

will

need to add an entry for the lite-up that you created, and the

Field Name

field name must match the lite-up name exactly. You

will

need to know the num and bit for each lite-up. Run the Pricing Options Available report in Optifacts menu 11-14 to find the num and bit for each applicable lite-up.

Note: The

You must enter the exact num and bit

must be entered exactly as shown

as you see it on the Pricing Options Available report.

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 11 - Retail Transfer and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 14 - Pricing Options Available Report and press enterEnter.

  • Run the report and make a note of the num and bit.

In the example below, the num is 31, and the bit is 5

Setup

Set up a Job Data Definition

Refer to the Defining Job Data Definition Fields with Examples document for full details on each field. 

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 7 - Edit Job Data Definitions and press enterEnter.

The Prompt Configuration for Miscellaneous Job-Related Data window

displays

is displayed.

Type A
  • Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the applicable data as per the diagrams below, pressing
enter
  • Enter past each field.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Press
E
  • “E” to exit the screen.

Set up the Job Data Trigger

Refer to the Defining Job Data Triggers document for full details on each field. 

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 8 - Edit Job Data Triggers and press enterEnter.

The Triggers to Cause Prompts for Miscellaneous Job-Related Data window

displays

Type A
  • Press “A” to add a new record.
  • Enter all the applicable data as per the diagrams below pressing enter past each field.
  • The message that you want to print

  • gets entered in the Default Value field.
  • Press Escape to save the data.

  • “E” to exit the screen.

You Can edit the Default Value to hold the message that you’d like to see on the invoice.  Change this as often as you’d like by editing this record.  You might also add more records that tie to different
