Introduction

This document provides instructions for the setup to assign countries of origin to frames, parts, and instruments.

Procedure

Assign Country of Origin – Frames

From the Optifacts main menu:

Select Option 12 – Frame-Parts Inventory and press Enter.

Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 5 – Frame Description Editor and press Enter.

Optifacts can load frame information for your lab. This will usually also load any country of origin information for the frame, and you can edit it by using the following screen. It is on the 3rd screen of the Frame Description Editor (press “S” two times to access it).

Assign Country of Origin - Parts

From the Optifacts main menu:

  • Select Option 12 – Frame-Parts Inventory and press Enter.
  • Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.
  • Select Option 10 – Miscellaneous Parts Editor and press Enter.

Entering a Job

From the Optifacts main menu:

  • Select Option 6 - Stock Pricing and press Enter.

Enter a job through Stock Pricing. If the frame, instrument, or part has a country of origin, it will be assigned and output when a delivery note, general delivery note, or faktura gets printed.

Output in Statement XML File

Must be using XML statements

If a line item has a country of origin, it will be output in the statement XML file in the /statement/detail/detail_record/itemize_record/country_of_origin XML tag.

At the end of the statement XML file, the countries of origin represented on the statement get summarized in the following sub-tags:

./country_line/country_name – the country name

./country_line/pieces – the number of pieces with this country of origin

./country_line/value – the value of the pieces with this country of origin
